Joint Initiative on International Humanitarian Law in the Middle East
There is no ONE key to peace and development in the Middle East. But an important prerequisite for this is a just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Misereor and "Bread for the World - Protestant Development Service" are convinced that respect for international humanitarian law and human rights plays a central role in such a solution and, against this background, founded the so-called "Joint Initiative on International Humanitarian Law in the Middle East" (GIHVN) in 2007.

Global sustainability goals: Germany is also challenged!
In 2015, the United Nations adopted new Global Sustainability Goals. The German Sustainable Development Strategy is intended to contribute to the implementation of these goals. Misereor comments on the draft presented on 30 May 2016 and calls for a revision and further development of the strategy.

Research in the literature database of the Misereor library
Would you like to find out more, or are you conducting research for a dissertation or final-year project?
The Misereor Library is an in-house specialist library focusing on development cooperation and development policy, with a particular emphasis on the Church’s development work; however, it is open to external users by prior appointment.
The library’s collection can be searched via the online catalogue. Books cannot be borrowed and there is no photocopying service available.
