The foundation for justice
Global justice means more than just providing aid in emergencies. It asks how people can live independently and self-determinedly in the long term. Education, food and energy are not isolated issues, but the cornerstones of a just society:
- Without education, children remain trapped in poverty and a lack of prospects.
- Without food security, communities cannot grow and women cannot fulfil their role as agents of change.
- Without energy, there is no foundation for healthcare, economic development or security.

Since 1958, we have been supporting people in the places where poverty is most acute – regardless of faith, culture or skin colour. Thanks to our supporters, we have been able to fund over 116,000 projects in more than 100 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America.
