No! Cancelling your direct debit or standing order with us is always free of charge. Unfortunately, there are numerous providers on the internet that advertise their services in helping to cancel direct debit or standing orders and charge fees for doing so. We have no contact with these providers. You can cancel your direct debit authorisation at any time by writing an email/letter to Misereor or by calling us. You will not be charged for doing so.
Good development projects require professional project accounting: In 2023, 87.5% of our funds went directly to project funding. 3.4% is used for the ongoing support provided to our project partners during project implementation by our desk officers. In accordance with our Articles of Association, we use 2.1% of our funds for campaigning, educational and awareness-raising work for a world without poverty. We only need 3.1% of our funds for administration. 3.9% of our funds cover expenses that we incur to reach more people through advertising and public relations. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to receive a copy of our annual report.
We very much appreciate regular donations by standing order. Just let us know that you would like to donate regularly by standing order and we will arrange for a collective receipt to be issued for all of your donations made in one year. At the beginning of the following year, you will receive a full list of all your donations.
