Our mission
Since 1958, Misereor has funded over 112,000 development projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Oceania, with over 8.2 billion euros. Partner organisations supported by our charity and the Catholic Central Office for Global Development (Katholische Zentralstelle für Globale Entwicklung e.V.) are active in around 80 countries worldwide.
Transparency & integrity at Misereor
As part of our development cooperation, we also take responsibility for the implementation of the projects we support. We are committed to accountability and transparency with regard to the donations and taxpayers' money entrusted to us.
Transparency at Misereor
In our public relations work, we provide truthful information about our work and make our motives and actions transparent. Our annual report and the annual evaluation report provide an overview. We orientate our work towards strategic goals, which we also make transparent here.
Whistleblower portal and ombudsman's office
In order to provide a trustworthy and low-threshold reporting channel for any form of complaint, we use a whistleblower portal that also protects whistleblowers.
This whistleblower portal serves as an input channel for reports of violations of Misereor's Code of Conduct, internal organisational regulations or applicable laws. It is equally available to donors, employees, volunteers, service providers, partners and other anonymous whistleblowers. All reports are carefully examined and treated confidentially.
Contact the ombudsman's office
Another way to lodge a complaint is to contact the ombudsperson directly. The ombudsperson investigates every violation of laws or internal organisational regulations, as well as other reports and complaints. Incoming reports are anonymised with regard to the whistleblower. The protection of the whistleblower from any form of discrimination also has top priority in this reporting channel.
