You can support projects with one-off gifts or with regular donations of any amount you choose.  You will receive a report and photos within a year of making your donation. We will also be happy to provide you with an individualised package of information material for your events and public relations work.

Yes, in principle it is possible to visit your project on site. We will discuss any request to visit a project with our partner organisation, with a view to the current situation in the respective country or region.

You may fund a project in full or in part.

When you decide to donate the entire budget of a project, it will become your exclusive project. Projects normally run for a period of three years. That’s why the entire budget is often a five- to six-digit figure.

We will work closely with you to determine the specific use of your donation. You can decide whether you want to help based on a concrete project suggestion or give your money to where it is needed the most.

The German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI) certifies Misereor’s responsible and efficient use of donations. All publicity and administration costs incurred serve the tasks related to our project and pastoral work as described in our Articles of Association. Learn more in Misereor’s annual report.

Each project is closely monitored by Misereor staff members with a view to progress and accounting. Misereor regularly commissions official independent auditors to audit our partners’ bookkeeping and Statements of Receipts and Payments, which allows us to ensure that the money is spent properly. To evaluate the impact of the projects we fund, Misereor engages independent evaluation teams to visit project sites, assess their objectives and analyse their impacts. We publish the results of their analyses annually in our Annual Evaluation Report.
