Our Annual Report offers detailed facts and figures, demonstrating how we responsibly use your donations to support projects benefiting people living in poverty worldwide. Learn about our fiscal year.

In 2023, 93% of our expenditures were used for project, campaign and educational activities, while only 7% was used for advertising and administration.

This efficient use of resources is why the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI) classifies Misereor as an organisation with low administrative costs.

In 2023, Misereor raised €238.8 million, including funds from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and was thus able to support project and lobbying activities in 85 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Oceania, Latin America and the Caribbean.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our donors and supporters, who donated a total of €64.6 million to Misereor and supported our work with their ideas. This support benefits our partner organisations worldwide. Thanks to their experience and unwavering dedication, they ensure that these funds are directed where they are needed most.

The Annual Report contains some examples of how the money has been used in project work.
