Education for sustainable development and justice takes shape in everyday life: in pupils’ questions, in decisions made by teaching staff, in moments when young people realise that their actions make a difference. The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals provide guidance here – not distant and abstract, but concrete and implementable locally. The Global Development Framework shows how these goals can be integrated into lessons in an age-appropriate and action-oriented way – and how schools can become places of learning for justice and sustainability. This booklet provides a variety of starting points for this – with practical examples, teaching ideas and insights into political contexts.
