Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world. Hurricanes destroy trees, fields and houses. Small farmers there are supported in planting forest gardens with orange trees, banana trees, beans and manioc. Your gift of 25 euros will help with 50 new seedlings for reforestation.

Goats help poor families to survive by providing milk and manure for the fields. With a goat, Misereor supports families in setting up a goat farm. With a gift donation of 200 euros, poor families receive a goat as important start-up capital.

In many countries around the world, keeping small animals is a matter for women. Eggs and meat are important components of the diet of smallholder families. With a gift donation of 20 euros, families receive chickens, cages and the appropriate training to be able to provide for themselves in the long term.

Give the gift of a safe birth for mother and child. 80 euros will finance a caesarean section with follow-up treatment in a hospital, e.g. in Ethiopia.

With a donation of 15 euros, you can support the participation of a family in a workshop on urban agriculture in Latin America. This enables families in large cities to feed themselves well in the long term.

A little normality in a foreign land: with a gift donation of 42 euros, you can make it possible for refugee children, e.g. in the Middle East, to receive an important and valuable school education for a quarter: a child is provided with the necessary school materials, including books, exercise books and writing materials.

Aid packages ensure survival: Around 122 million people worldwide have been displaced from their homes. They are often stranded in neighbouring countries that are also poor. The Middle East is a current example of this. With a gift donation of 70 euros for an aid package, you can provide unbureaucratic help.

Your donation gift is a donation to Misereor and is used where the money is needed most. For example, this could be current emergency aid in Haiti, a street children's project in Brazil or an agricultural project in Nigeria.
Prices for goods and services vary depending on the continent, country or region and, in the event of a disaster, increased local demand can also lead to sharp price increases. The donation amounts listed here, e.g. for chickens, are therefore exemplary average prices that are representative of the work carried out locally.
We endeavour to keep the donation gifts as up-to-date as possible. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Sometimes we receive more donations for a project than was granted to the legal holder of the respective project. The projects listed here are examples of the work Misereor supports all over the world. If donations for a project exceed the amount granted to its legal holder, we allocate the surplus to other projects with a similar concept.

Receive gift card by post

Choose a donation gift, enter your details and a gift card will be sent to your home by post. This takes about three working days. You personalise the card yourself by entering the name of the person receiving the gift and a personal message.

Print gift certificate

If you do not need the gift card, click on this option in the order process. A gift certificate will then be available for you to print out and give as a gift after the donation.

Our offer: Your donation gift with direct shipping

We will be happy to send your personalised gift card directly to the recipient(s). For this we need - importantly - a postal address and a few nice words that should appear as text on the card - please write the information in the message field.

This means that your donations are channelled to where they are urgently needed.
