A very important pillar is that local bakeries are activated. They can set up donation boxes or sell sandwiches. Companies that are very active on social media are particularly happy to have the opportunity to share their commitment.

As an alternative or addition to the baking set: put together a brochure with various recipes. There are sure to be lots of great recipes in your community, club or action group. Attach a packet of dry yeast to the cover of the brochure. Hand in the brochure for a small donation and use the proceeds to support a project of your choice.

Sharing bread or selling pastries - that doesn't work anywhere at the moment. But what we can do - at any age: We can put favourite recipes on paper or pixels and design them beautifully. The results are uploaded to the website or social networks and shared, and a donation is requested for each download or print. If you are technically inclined in more ways than one, you can also record virtual baking courses on video or organise them via Zoom and ask for donations. By the way: videos with "fails" are also educational in their own way, and entertaining at the same time!

Lent is also a time to reflect on the essentials and what we can be grateful for. With this in mind, groups can motivate their members and others to set up a Solibrot donation box at home or to make a thank you board. Whenever a loaf of bread is cut, a stamp is placed on the thank-you board and a donation is transferred for each stamp on the fifth Sunday of Lent. It is particularly nice to create community here, because the feeling of gratitude is multiplied.

Soli baking set

The Soli-Backset is a variant of the cookery box: Whoever organises this campaign first offers the opportunity to order a baking set. A beautifully designed recipe plus the necessary ingredients are sent on their way in return for a fixed amount or an extra donation. All participants can bake together on a specific date at the same time or even virtually. Important: Everyone who takes part shares photos of the box and the campaign.
