A largely unknown connection to Brazil is orange juice, which many children like to drink. 80% of the juiced oranges required for this come from Brazil, where they are often grown and harvested under unhealthy conditions. However, oranges also form the basis for many other products, from baking ingredients and body care products to scented oils.
In order to work with primary school pupils on the topic of oranges, we offer you instructions for an "orange suitcase". It consists of seven learning stations as well as craft and game instructions and also contains child-friendly explanations about fair trade. With a few additions, the orange suitcase can also be used in the orientation level.
