In all countries around the world, children take on a variety of jobs, for example in the family or in the family business. But where is the line between normal cooperation and exploitative child labour?

Pupils learn about different forms of child labour from siblings Emmanuelle and Daniel on a cocoa plantation and two other siblings from the Ivory Coast and Germany. The bottom section of the poster illustrates selected child labour criteria from the ILO (International Labour Organization). The children can use the illustrations to assess and discuss what constitutes exploitative child labour.
