This teaching material is based on the story of a fictitious street child and uses the mystery method to show how the Misereor partner organisation "Butterflies" opens up paths to a better future for street children in Delhi. The double lesson teaches learners the key differences between securing basic needs and genuine help for self-help (empowerment). The services offered by the Butterflies - from education and medical care to participation formats - illustrate how development cooperation strengthens potential and places the dignity of every child at the centre.
