Global learning regional
The global learning advisors support teachers in bringing global topics into the classroom. They provide creative impetus, support projects and encourage pupils to get involved. They are active in the dioceses of North Rhine-Westphalia as well as in Osnabrück, Rottenburg-Stuttgart and Speyer, where they make the work of Misereor visible and tangible.
Global, social and intercultural learning
In the dioceses of Osnabrück, Rottenburg-Stuttgart and Speyer, Global Learning officer positions have been set up at diocesan level with support from Misereor. The special thing about this is that the advisors are themselves active teachers of religion and social science subjects. Their task is to give Misereor a face in the diocese, to network and train teachers, to provide teaching impulses and to accompany campaigns in schools.
Misereor entered into a further cooperation with the Institute for Teacher Training (IfL) Essen in 2021. Here, interested teachers from the five NRW dioceses are offered further training in the field of global learning and education for sustainable development (ESD).
A position paper on global learning from all cooperation partners can be found here.
