The double lesson for religious education in secondary school (years 7-9) deals with the causes, political measures and social challenges of flight and migration. The aim of teaching this topic is to encourage pupils to take an independent position: they should be able to assess pro and contra arguments in the social debate and take their own standpoint based on rational insights and assessments, but also taking emotional aspects into account.
