Access to clean water, the most elementary of our resources, is one of the most pressing global problems of our time. This workbook offers suggestions for individuals, groups and initiatives as well as organisations and educational work - for reflection, for examining one's own actions and for political action. There is an inspiring meditation on the "element" of water as well as a contribution on Pope Francis' encyclical on the environment. But there is also plenty of practical information for everyday life: what fish can we still eat, what water can we still drink, how can we avoid plastic waste - and what can we do to ensure that water is protected and that everyone has the chance of clean water. Would you like to find out more, or are you conducting research for a dissertation or final-year project?
The Misereor Library is an in-house specialist library focusing on development cooperation and development policy, with a particular emphasis on the Church’s development work; however, it is open to external users by prior appointment.
The library’s collection can be searched via the online catalogue. Books cannot be borrowed and there is no photocopying service available.
