Medienproduktion und Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH (MVG), a subsidiary of the Catholic aid organisation Misereor based in Aachen, has ceased operations.

MVG was founded in the 1970s to raise public awareness of development cooperation issues through the production and distribution of print products and to promote the corresponding activities in parishes, One World organisations, schools and kindergartens, among others. MVG's market conditions have deteriorated considerably in recent years due to a significant decline in orders as a result of digitalisation and the associated shrinkage of the print market, while church congregations have become smaller. Much of what was still in demand as a printed product a few years ago is now distributed electronically.

MVG's financial situation was examined in detail as part of the provisional insolvency proceedings that have been ongoing since the end of June 2025. However, there was no viable basis for maintaining the company's operations. Operations were therefore discontinued as part of the insolvency proceedings opened.

The Misereor materials previously available from MVG can now be obtained directly from Misereor. Misereor employees will be happy to help you order materials by calling 0241/442-945 or sending an e-mail to bestellung@misereor.de. Further ordering options will be announced in due course.
