“It all begins with courage” – under this motto, the Misereor Lenten Campaign 2027 invites us to turn our attention to people who, despite difficult experiences, are building a future based on hope. The focus is on Burundi, a country that is still shaped today by the consequences of past violence and conflicts.

The Misereor Lenten Campaign will be launched on the first Sunday of Lent, 14 February 2027, in the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart. Together with bishops, partners from Burundi and the faithful from the diocese, Misereor will celebrate a service at 10.00 am in the Liebfrauenkirche in Stuttgart Bad Cannstadt, which will be broadcast live on ARD.
