Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences in life and we know how hard it can be to deal with. Bereavement donations are a beautiful and dignified way to honour the life of the deceased and do good at the same time.

How can I help with this donation?
You decide where your donations should help in the event of bereavement. Choose one of our projects in Africa, Asia or Latin America and support our efforts to help people help themselves where poverty is greatest. At the same time, you will be giving hope in your grief.
Further information on funeral donations
It will help us to book the donations received if you inform us of your appeal for donations and give us the keyword (the first name and surname of the deceased). Once we have received the donations, we will inform you of the total proceeds. We will be happy to issue a donation receipt to every donor. Please provide us with the donor's address for this purpose. Once the donation receipt has been sent, your mourners will of course not receive any further appeals for donations from us.
Every Misereor project is closely monitored by Misereor employees in terms of content and accounting. Misereor regularly commissions official and independent auditors who check the proper bookkeeping and accounts of the partners on site. In this way, we ensure that the funds are used correctly. Independent evaluation teams also visit the projects supported by Misereor and analyse their objectives and impact in order to determine whether the projects are having the desired effect. We publish the results of their analyses every year in the annual evaluation report.
