Donations instead of gifts
Everyone knows this question, which is often asked on birthdays: "What present would you like?" Instead of a perfume, flowers, a book or a voucher, a special birthday wish is to appeal for donations in favour of Misereor's project work. For many people, this is not so much a sacrifice of gifts as an enrichment.
This is how it works:
If you would like to collect donations for your birthday, you can do so in various ways:
You collect the donations at your celebration and transfer the total amount under the keyword "Birth [name of the organiser]". We will be happy to send you a donation box that you can set up at your party. If your guests would like a donation receipt, please send us a list with the names, addresses and individual amounts.
Get in touch with us and we will send you a personalised donation subject. If your guests then donate directly, stating the keyword, they will automatically receive a donation receipt from Misereor.

On the Misereor Facebook page
You can set up donation campaigns to set up your appeal for donations. You can invite your friends to join in and donate via your Facebook page.
On the Misereor website
You use the campaign tool Your own fundraising campaign You send out your personal appeal for donations in advance so that your guests can donate directly online.
Please inform us in advance about your campaign so that we can allocate the incoming donations to you.
