Many people do not know what the future holds for them. The floods to date have destroyed houses, roads and bridges. Families have lost loved ones, their homes and their livelihoods. Following the severe flooding in August and October, people are left with nothing, whilst at the same time fearing the next disaster at any moment. Food supplies, sources of income, livestock and essential household goods – they are now lacking all of these. Roads, bridges, water supply systems and agricultural land have also been destroyed or severely damaged, making remote riverside settlements in particular almost inaccessible.
Misereor is providing emergency aid in collaboration with local partner organisations – and kindly asks for your support.

Our Nepalese partner organisations are quickly on the ground in the worst-affected districts of Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading. To provide the people there with essentials, they are distributing food and hygiene kits. Their extensive network enables them to do this even in the most remote areas. Longer-term support is also planned: the reconstruction of community structures and further measures are currently being organised.
For the families affected, this support means far more than just provision – it offers stability, protection and a sign that they are not alone in their time of need.

Your donation will provide food, hygiene items and immediate support for families who have lost everything from one moment to the next. Together, we can show the people of Nepal that we stand by their side – today in their hour of need, and tomorrow on the long road to recovery.
