The Misereor hunger cloths have been a central component of the Lenten campaigns for 50 years.
Every two years, an artist from the Global South or Europe designs the current hunger cloth. Parishes and schools use the picture to address pressing issues of justice and solidarity during Lent and beyond.
To mark the occasion, Misereor and the Museum de Schat van Simpelveld are showing the originals of the hunger cloth pictures in a large exhibition.
